Takumi Inui is the main protagonist of the 2003-2004 Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider 555 (Faiz). He is portrayed by Kento Handa.
Initially a cynical and reluctant hero, Takumi is a wandering loner with a hidden compassionate side. He stumbles upon the Faiz Gear, a powerful Rider System, and is forced to fight the Orphnoch, creatures born from human evolution who threaten humanity.
Takumi is not naturally suited to the Faiz Gear and often struggles with its power. He is eventually revealed to be an Orphnoch himself, specifically the Wolf Orphnoch, explaining his compatibility with the technology. This revelation forces him to confront his own identity and decide whether to embrace his Orphnoch nature or fight for humanity.
Throughout the series, Takumi grapples with trust, betrayal, and the complex relationship between humans and Orphnoch. While generally averse to commitment, he develops strong bonds with those around him, particularly Mari Sonoda and Yuji Kiba, shaping his journey toward becoming a true Kamen Rider.
